La Cantina de Guarene is a site-specific artwork conceived for Parco d’arte and was created in what was once a water storage tank. The artist has transformed it into a welcoming space for socializing and sharing, through an environmental intervention that merges painting and architecture. The walls are covered with a mural mosaic, a large three-dimensional painting inspired by the imagery and architectural forms of Caribbean traditions. La Cantina offers visitors a place to gather and pause, sit on the benches, and contemplate the stunning landscape of the surrounding hills.
